Sderot, Israel - Community Center
Sderot is a small city that sits on Israel’s southern border, right beside the Gaza Strip. Due to the recent unrest in the Gaza Strip Sderot is now, more than ever, the targeted object of terrorism. Kassam rockets have been and continue to be fired into the heart of this small city and have promoted much fear and devastation.
The community center is an arts and drama center that is open to all who desire to participate; it creates a place of fun and imagination in a world where children are constantly overwhelmed with fear. When we asked the people of Sderot what they needed most they replied with one simple answer, “We need hope.” We brought them hope.
