Projects that we are proud of
Israel Relief Fund brings humanitarian aid by supporting a number of worldwide projects. Many of these projects were accomplished with the assistance of evangelical partners.

Current Projects
Enriching Field Trips for Orphens. D. is a seven year-old student. One of five children, his family lives in a small two room apartment. His family is registered with the Social Welfare Office for ongoing assistance. The mother of the family died last summer after years of illness. The kids are on the streets most of the day, exposed to difficult situations
Support for IDF Soldiers. Before immigrating to Israel, I (Richard D. Weisskopf, chairman Love for Israel Relief Fund) volunteered with Sar-El to help the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) side-by-side with young Israeli soldiers. (This is an experience I recommend to all IDF supporters.) A few things stuck out for me about the IDF when I lived and worked in such close proximity with these soldiers.
Bat Mitzvah Celebration Jerusalem Style. Many Jerusalem families that do not need our assistance during the rest of the year find themselves unable manage the extra expenses of the high holidays and life events. In cooperation with the Social Welfare Department, we help pre-screened families meet certain basic needs by providing stipends to stores for qualifying families. This stipend often makes all the difference for struggling families – the “working poor” of Jerusalem. What about children whose parents cannot provide for them for various reasons? In situations like these, we cooperate with organizations like the Love for Israel Relief Fund to help them celebrate holidays and life events.
Nathaniel Fund. As chairman of the Love for Israel Relief Fund, I have found myself in too many houses of mourning involving small children this past year. Every parent’s nightmare is not to return home in the evening and tuck the kids in to bed. We hate to ask what would become of our children if we were no longer around. Would we want our children left to the mercy of strangers? Such terrible questions become unfortunate realities in some households.
Chut Shel Chessed (Thread of Mercy). For over 20 years, Chut Shel Chessed has built a reputation for helping hundreds of people from some of the worst situations to dramatically turn their lives around. Some students have become well-respected rabbis in their own rights while others have become some of Israel’s top writers, actors and musicians.
Keren Minchas Shlomo: Dignity. Beautiful, brand-new clothing is tastefully displayed on hanging racks and neatly arranged on shelves. Volunteer "salespeople" are on hand to assist our customers with their "purchases". It looks like a regular clothing store -but our customers aren't charged a cent. Our customers know this -but their neighbors don't. Children, shopping in our store with a parent, are never told that this is anything other than a regular store. Their dignity and self-respect are guarded.
Chennai (Madras), India. Part of the calling of the Israel Relief Fund is to provide aid to poor and oppressed people throughout the world, so that Israel may extend her ancient mandate to be a light and a blessing to the nations. Our India Outreach supports a home for orphans and the elderly, and also a hospice.

SPIRIT OF GRACE |
Past Projects
Akko, Israel. We participated in a relief effort for the city of Akko. We raised over $100,000 including a matching funds grant for the purchase and restoration of a building.
Sderot, Israel. The Israel Relief Fund helped fund work accomplished in the city of Sderot that included the total refurbishment of both a community center and a recreational center. The community center is an arts and drama center that is open to all who desire to participate; it creates a place of fun and imagination in a world where children are constantly overwhelmed with fear.
Spirit of Grace. In 2003 the ship known as the “Spirit of Grace” was refurbished and filled with humanitarian aid and sent to the land of Israel. Israel Relief Fund was a major project participant.
