To Our Honored Donors

at the girl’s school.

This is to follow up our most recent meeting with Mr. David Dreiling at the administrative office of our elementary schools. Rabbi Shalom Arush founded these schools to provide safe learning environments for at-risk boys and at-risk girls. We want these children to grow up in a nurturing environment that fosters academic excellence.

Our schools need renovation work done. For example, we are upgrading the playground at the boys’ school with the latest safety feature to exceed current safety standards. Thanks to your help so far, we have been able to cover over half the costs of this project.

The courtyards need a lot of work since the properties are old and the masonry work is cracked and broken. Since both schools have small children, we need to make sure their learning environment is as safe as possible.

Additionally, we need to replace old chairs, desks, tables and blackboards. As with any school, we need to cover the costs of school supplies such as pens, pencils and paint. Of course, no elementary school would be complete without equipment like tricycles, scooters, educational games and toys.

For every $20 we can buy a new chair and for every $50 we can buy a desk & chair set for a student. Every $100 equips a classroom with a new blackboard and basic supplies. Gifts of $500 or more enable us to equip the playground with swings, slides and see-saws. Any gift, small or big, really helps these kids whose families could not possible cover the costs of all this work.

Many thanks and blessings from Rabbi Shalom Arush and the entire educational team. Thank you for all that you have already done and what you continue to do. G-d will bless your righteous compassion for needy children who want to study.

Miriam Arush is the administrator of Chut Shel Chessed (Thread of Mercy) and wife of Rabbi Shalom Arush. For over 20 years, Chut Shel Chessed has built a reputation for helping hundreds of people from some of the worst situations to dramatically turn their lives around. Some students have become well-respected rabbis in their own rights while others have become some of Israel’s top writers, actors and musicians. Rabbinit Arush works hard as the administrative brains behind the whole operation.

Special events, like weddings and bar mitzvahs, happen year round for hundreds of at-risk kids and needy young adults in Israel. Donations designated “special events” will be set aside for such use.

Thank You for your generosity. We would like to give you a free book for your donation of $100 or more. An English translation of The Garden of Peace is currently available for men. An English translation of Women’s Wisdom: the Garden of Peace for Women will be available soon. Please specify with your donation which book you want us to send upon availability.
