About the Israel Relief Fund

Israeli child of Sderot.

The Israel Relief Fund evolved out of the need to coordinate and expand existing relief efforts in the Middle East in response to the new challenges created by the war on terror and the emergence of a new class of poor in Israel. Since the tragic events of September 11, 2001, many have felt a closer identification with the struggles of the people of Israel, as they live with the devastating effects of terrorism on a daily basis. Many people are now coming forward to lend practical support to Israel in this time of upheaval. Our Primary Focus is to connect humanitarian aid partners together on behalf of the poor in Israel, and to collect funds to cover transportation related costs for sending donated relief supplies to Israel.

Our Mission and Immediate Goal

At this critical season in world history, we choose to stand with the people of Israel to help strengthen them in their time of need. The immediate mission of the Israel Relief Fund is to arrange for ongoing shipments of humanitarian aid in order to bring relief to needy individuals and families through private and government social service institutions in Israel.

Sharing the Blessing

The overarching goal of the Israel Relief Fund is to provide aid for poor and oppressed people throughout the world, so that Israel may extend her ancient mandate to be a light and a blessing to the nations. The Israel Relief Leadership Team:
