Welcome to the Israel Relief Fund
We are looking. . .

David Dreiling, Israel Relief Fund

We are looking for the Poor. We are looking for widows, orphans, all kinds of children at risk. We are looking for the aged with no one to care for them. We are looking for the prisoners families. We are looking for the drug and alcohol abusers.

They are not hard to find really.

What is hard to find is those organizations that best use the funds you donate to make a difference. That care for the dignity and the humanity of the recipients. What is hard to find is the clear evidence dollar for dollar that your donation make a visible impact on the target.

Each of the projects that you see on this website has been personally inspected by our team. I myself have met the people involved in every one and can say that they are good honest people with a true heart for the poor. These are good human beings who do not live extravagant lifestyles. Quite the opposite, most are poor and some very poor themselves.

IRF’s pledge to you is that we will use your money to do the most good. You can specify a project for your donation…You can go to their website in many cases and give there. We do not take funds off the top but act as a pass-through to many of these organizations that can’t give you a tax deductable receipt.

Our partners in Israel are of impeccable character. Our overhead both here in America and overseas is minimal.

The needs are urgent the time is now. I urge you to give out of your abundance or even perhaps out of your poverty

Prov 19:17, One who is gracious to the poor has lent to HaShem, and He will pay him his reward.

Exciting Development for Orphans in Jerusalem

The 2009 year comes to a close with exciting news. A Jerusalem non-profit has recently offered the Love for Israel Relief Fund over 3,000 square feet in a new building that they want to set aside to help orphans and at-risk kids. The space can be ours to use free of charge for up to five years.

Keren Netanel “Nathaniel Fund”

Every parent’s nightmare is not to return home in the evening and tuck the kids in to bed. We hate to ask what would become of our children if we were no longer around. Would we want our children left to the mercy of strangers? Such terrible questions become unfortunate realities in some households. As chairman of the Love for Israel Relief Fund, Continued.

Chut Shel Chessed "Thread of Mercy"

Changing lives of at-risk kids includes opportunities for academic excellence. One of the schools we sponsor opens such opportunities. Between the global economic crisis and catering to an impoverished population, this school needs help renovating their old building.

From Miriam Arush, rabbinit. This is to follow up our most recent meeting with Mr. David Dreiling at the administrative office of our elementary schools. Rabbi Shalom Arush Continued

Keren Minchas Shlomo: Dignity

Three containers of clothing are in a New Jersey warehouse. We need to get them to Israel. Cost is $8500 for each container.
Will you help?
Picture a forty foot long international shipping container perched on a semitrailer. The outer walls are bare of identifying markings. There are no signs or placards outside proclaiming the chessed that goes on within. Inside is a clean, well-lighted store; the walls are painted and the floor is carpeted. Beautiful, brand-new clothing is tastefully displayed on hanging racks and neatly arranged on shelves. Continued

Children living in poverty

According to a 2009 study, one-third of Israeli children, some 777,400 in number, live in poverty-stricken families, according to statistics published in a study by the National Insurance Institute (NII).

The study finds that of the 2.1 million households in Israel, 418,000 families live below the poverty line. One-fourth of all families with children (238,000) are classified as poor families. In addition, 39,000 single-parent families are listed as poor while 44 percent of all families received a stipend from the NII.

In 2008, the number of families with children in Israel reached 994,753 which also include 2,372,515 children under the age of 18. The total amount of child allowances distributed by the state reached NIS 3.7 billion. Some 32 percent of families have one child up to and below the age of 18, 20 percent of families include three children, and four percent of families have at least five children.
